Scrapbooking Ideas

I love to scrapbook, and every month I get together at a local church and 'crop' with several friends.  The meetings are held the first Monday of every month, beginning at 5:00 pm and run until 10:00.  One attendant may offer a class which lasts 30 minutes or so.  We've looked at die cuts, caligraphy, and stringing, among other subjects.  It's also nice because everyone shares whatever they have (paper, die cut machine, templates, cutters, etc.)

The following examples, and other pages in this area give you some examples of what scrapbooking is all about.

This was one of my first pages, but I was very pleased with it.  It is simple yet quite balanced.  It was so easy to choose the color red because Sarah was wearing at least some red in every picture.

These pages are a couple of years old, made when I was just beginning to explore scrapbooking.  The arrangements shown here are fun and easy to do, although some special tools are required to get some of the effects.  I began with a few pens, a pair of seagull scissors, an oval cutter, a round corner edger, and a personal trimmer.

The page to the left was made when Sarah was born, Grandma and Grandpa proudly presenting her to all that pass by!  I knew almost nothing about cropping (obviously). Even this simple looking page is a great improvement over the strait rectangles we used to have.
